Weโre looking for outgoing and energetic Volunteer Drivers to help us with our Social Support Groups. Our Volunteers contribute to supporting clients remain socially connected by assisting staff during both centre and outing based activities & social programs for older people.
Who are we?
Central Bayside Community Health Services (CBCHS) is a not-for-profit organisation providing a wide range of services to support healthy living, general wellbeing and social connection in our community.
The ๐๐จ๐๐ข๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฌ at CBCHS offer a diverse range of over 25 activities per week, providing the opportunity for people to connect with others in a supportive environment. The groups are great way to make friends, enjoy new experiences and most importantly have fun! This low-cost service is also a great way for carers to get some well-earned respite from their caring duties.
The Volunteer Driver Role . . .
This position assists with transporting our clients to centre based activities at our various sites as well as on group outings, all within the Kingston and Bayside areas. Drivers may also assist with cleaning and general maintenance of the vehicle fleet.
Our groups run Mondays to Fridays and drivers are required mostly during the mornings. Our Volunteer Drivers must have a full Victorian Driverโs Licence and be comfortable operating a mini bus. All new drivers are assessed for competency.
What you need to know
โข Our recruitment process is flexible to be completed remotely. โข All volunteers must be fully vaccinated and complete a police check and training prior to commencement.
