Volunteer Fundraising Assistant - Brunswick, VIC

Event Management
· Assist with the development and implementation of organisation-wide approved fundraising strategies through campaigns or donor management.
· Develop, implement and manage an organisation fundraising plan to achieve financial targets.
· Coordinate and facilitate activity that will directly result in prospect identification, engagement and successful solicitations of donors.
· Actively support the continuation of existing community partnerships and seek to form new relationships with community groups.
· Expand the fundraising base through liaison with the business community, local councils, community groups and other philanthropic individuals and groups.
· Secure and monitor donations and partnerships, to realise fundraising priorities of the organisations.
· Clear and regular communication is facilitated with Leadership and mission volunteers to ensure smooth running of fundraising events.
· Construct rosters and maps for volunteers across all locations and communicate this to all relevant parties.
· Mission volunteers are engaged and recruited as per plan.
· Maintain mission volunteer records and general administration duties.
· Ensure agreements with local councils and/or shopping centres are in place.
· Visit community spaces in the mapped area allocated to you. Create rosters and maps for volunteers.
· Assist with the collection/sorting/packing of donations. · Assist with the gift wrapping.
· Assist with preparation, service and clean-up of meals and contributing to a festive atmosphere.
· Under direction complete RSA kit packing or unpacking of resources.
· Assist with static site (shopping centres and/or supermarkets), door-to-door or intersection collection in your allocated area.

Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment
· Immediately report any health and safety concerns, notifiable incidents and near misses, to Senior Team Leader and ensure any hazards are controlled until rectified.
· Ensure hazard, incident and accident form is completed when required in a timely manner.
· All volunteers are to be mindful of their own health and to take care of the health and safety of others.
· Volunteers are required to comply with all TSA work, health and safety policies and procedures as applicable to their workplace.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements for the Position
· Experience in relevant field highly regarded.
· Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Mandatory Requirements of the Position
· Complete The Salvation Army (TSA) Mission Volunteer registration, induction and training - TSA is a ChildSafe workplace.
· Integrity checks as required for the role.
