The Program  

Australian Red Cross Emergency Services has been responding to emergencies and providing humanitarian assistance in Australia since 1914. We are committed to strengthening and extending our emergency services to all Australians to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies.  As part of our Emergency Services team, you will join a group of nearly 800 volunteers across Victoria ready to assist locally and across the state in times of emergency. 

Red Cross Emergency Services Victoria supports people and communities before, during and after emergencies. Our work spreads far and wide, including supporting communities, groups and individuals to prepare for emergencies, as well as assisting with response and disaster recovery. 

The Opportunity  

Community Partnerships Officer roles open in the following Divisions: 

• Central Metro 
• West Metro 
• Inner North East Metro 
• Outer South Metro 
• Northern Lakes 
• Central North East 
• Wimmera 

Within these divisions opportunities exist to represent Red Cross Emergency Services Victoria in the role of Community Partnerships Officer on Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee/s (MEMPCs). These vital roles ensure Red Cross provides an opportunity to drive lasting change before, during and after emergencies by contributing to emergency management planning in your local area.

As a Community Partnership Officer, you can create significant and lasting impact in the community. As part of the Divisional Leadership Team, you will be a leader within the community, connect with like-minded people from a range of diverse backgrounds, and collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure local emergency planning arrangements meet the needs of the community.
