• Leading role with our  Red Cross Emergency Services team in Victoria

**The program** ** Australian Red Cross Emergency Services has been responding to emergencies and providing humanitarian assistance in Australia since 1914. We are committed to strengthening and extending our emergency services to all Australians to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies.  As part of our Emergency Services team, you will join a group of nearly 800 volunteers across Victoria ready to assist locally and across the state in times of emergency. 

Red Cross Emergency Services Victoria supports people and communities before, during and after emergencies. Our work spreads far and wide, including supporting communities, groups and individuals to prepare for emergencies, as well as assisting with response and disaster recovery. 

The opportunity

Emergency Services State Trainers deliver training, capture feedback and make recommendations around ongoing learning needs. Volunteers will participate in relevant train the trainer sessions to attain and keep currency of endorsement. State trainers will assist with the preparation of a training program tailored specifically to the needs of Emergency Service teams within specific divisions and just in time training during activations.

Volunteers in this role are required to have an understanding of adult learning principles, previous experience in training, facilitating and running interactive sessions. They will need an understanding of online learning platforms and be able to facilitate interactive online learning. 

Strong communication skills, ability to speak confidently and facilitate discussions while having excellent public speaking and presentation is necessary.
