Learning Through Lunch – Industry mentors

Ardoch
Logo for Ardoch

This special event involves you discussing you career or chosen field of work with participating students at a lunch to be held at the Davidson Restaurant, Geelong.

An Ardoch staff member will be on site to support volunteers and the event. Students will first arrive at The Gordon TAFE and receive a one-hour tour prior to the lunch component with you. All volunteers will have the option to attend the tour.

During the dining experience you will:

*Talk to them about your chosen field of work and what is required to enter the field. Students may like to hear what the day-to-day work-role entails.

*Support students to try new foods and engage in table activities.

Who we are:

Ardoch is a national children’s education charity, working hard to improve educational outcomes for children and young people in communities experiencing disadvantage by providing vital learning and wellbeing resources and activities.

What do we do:

We train and mobilise volunteers to schools and early learning centres, with a focus on building strong foundations of education such as literacy and numeracy. We broaden horizons for children by providing access to excursions and inspiring learning experiences.

Basically, we’re showing up for the kids who need our help the most.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
