WHAT 1-2 days of assistance at our Senior Citizens Centre in Brighton -with possibility of joining organisation for future events

WHERE DAY 1 - Victorian Seniors Festival - How to make Healthy Dumplings + Secrets to a Younger Brain Masterclass Event Brighton Senior Citizens Centre: 23 Durrant Street, Brighton DATE / TIME - FRIDAY 6th OCTOBER 2023 12:00pm - 4:30pm

DAY 2 - Be Connected Get Online Week + Seniors Festival Event - How to make Healthy Dumplings + Secrets to a Younger Brain Masterclass with Digital Skills Brighton Senior Citizens Centre: 23 Durrant Street, Brighton DATE / TIME - FRIDAY 20th OCTOBER 2023 12:00pm - 4:30pm

POSSIBLE DUTIES INCLUDE These will be based on prior skills and the applicants ability and will.

  • Setup / Pack down /decorate event
  • Door Sign-in / record Attendees
  • Take photos
  • Meet and greet public, introducing the organisation
  • Promoting organisation / services
  • Assist with How to make Dumpling Demonstrations / Healthy Living tips / Basic Digital Skills
  • Sign up clients on the day and for future classes
  • Get Attendees to fill out Feedback forms

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU Experience is an advantage but not necessary Qualities:

  • You are energetic, excited to facilitate change and connect people together, love to talk and promote, have a passion for food, healthy living, sustainability, bayside and other cultures in particular Chinese and Australia, honest, happy, friendly, helpful, team player. Specific Background Areas:
  • Event Promotions
  • Sales
  • Retail skills
  • Basic Digital skills
  • Bi-lingual/English+Chinese language is a bonus!
  • Livestreaming of events

WHO ARE WE? Culture Connect Chinese Australia (CCCA) is a Not-for-Profit unique club which provides programs to members, with the purpose of engaging in social events which connect Chinese and Australian people in the Bayside area and beyond. Activities include get-togethers, cultural bridging activities, Connecting through Cooking, English and Mandarin language connections, Healthy living and the opportunity to meet and make new friends.
