Narrator for Talking Books (Audio Production Department)
Vision AustraliaVision Australia records a wide variety of material at the Kooyong studios, ranging from popular, mainstream titles and award winners, to airport reads and romantic novels.
We’re after female storytellers with a really good vocal range who can make a book reach a younger audience. The narrator must sound like a late teenager or a young adult telling the story as most titles currently available are a first-person narration story. We require a sensitive and intelligent interpretation of the fiction material, understanding how to express and pace it accordingly.
Prospective narrators must be available for a 3-hour recording session, whilst operating the equipment in the studios at Kooyong at least once a week from Monday to Friday, not weekends.
You will be able to pre-read/prepare the book and we can offer a range of recording sessions throughout the day, with flexible times during business hours.
Please note that all suitable applications must undergo the completion of a reading audition.
