If you’re interested in connecting with older people who are socially isolated, we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for Volunteers who can support older people with their goals around staying independent, healthy and connected to their community.

You may be interested in a connection with Fatima, who describes herself as easy going, welcoming and personable. Fatima enjoys going for walks and visiting local shops. Connecting with *Fatima may involve visiting her at home, having a chat over the phone, meeting up for a coffee and/or sharing a skill. It might involve checking out what’s on offer at a local neighbourhood centre, library, a live music event or an activity of interest.

We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. As a Uniting Volunteer you’ll be able to access our online learning library with over 200 courses on offer. Good communications skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a driver’s licence/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential. We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities.
