We are looking for Volunteer Community Connectors to join our community-minded team!
The Access to Community (A2C) Program works to support people aged under 65 years in the cities of Yarra, Boroondara and Manningham to link with community opportunities, strengthen social connections and build healthier and well-connected lives.
Our Community Connectors undertake the following responsibilities:
- introduce and support people in finding a social or physical activity group within their community
- help people meet their goals and build their confidence in building social connections
- empower and connect people to social opportunities
- commit to at most four hours a week depending on the client's needs
Training will be provided and you will receive ongoing support from Access Health and Community.
We are currently accepting expressions of interest from prospective volunteers who have a heart for community and who love connecting people to build inclusiveness and belonging.
We are seeking volunteers who live, work and play in the Boroondara, Manningham and Yarra local council areas. Applicants who can speak another language such as Chinese Mandarin, Vietnamese and Farsi are encouraged to apply!
