MS Plus is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

We have an 86 year old gentleman in an Aged Care facility in Hornsby who would benefit from the companionship of a MALE visitor. He would enjoy 1:1 conversation, about sport or family and to play board games.

You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to weekly connections/visits or at least fortnightly connections/visits for a minimum of 12 months/ongoing. This gentleman has dementia so every visit will be like meeting for the first time however he is cheeky and has a great sense of humour
