Volunteer At Toy Library

Early Education (EarlyEd) Inc.

What is the Cubby House Toy Library?

For over 40 years, the Cubby House Toy Library has collected and loaned toys for young children and their families across Northern Sydney. We now have nearly 3,000 toys for families to borrow. The toy library’s volunteers have enabled the library to collect, purchase through donations and grants, repair and renew quality toys and resources for children.
It offers a wide range of toys: • for children of all ages starting with baby toys; • for outdoor play, building, imaginative play, cause-and-effect play; as well as • puzzles, games, books, and therapy/gross motor equipment.

The Cubby House Toy Library is located at the rear of Forestville Senior Citizens’ Centre, Cnr Starkey Street & Warringah Road, Forestville and will soon have Click-n-Collect sites across the Northern Beaches.

The toy library is managed by EarlyEd, a not-for-profit organisation that is committed to bringing quality, entertaining learning opportunities to all children. It also provides early childhood intervention services for children with disabilities in Northern and Western Sydney.

History: The Cubby House Toy Library was originally established through grassroots involvement of parents and community members of the local Northern Beaches area to support children with special needs. It has become a library for any child and a source of community support for all families.
