We are seeking a Treasurer who has the ability for critical appraisal, can contribute to strategic planning and has a good understanding of governance for not-for-profits.

• The Treasurer oversees the financial administration of the organisation, reviews policies, procedures, and financial reporting, and advises the board on financial strategy.

• The Treasurer is a member of the Board of Project Rozana Australia and fulfils the role of chair of the Finance & Audit Committee, a sub-committee of the Project Rozana Board.

• The Terms of Reference of the Finance & Audit Committee set out the purpose, scope, responsibilities, membership, and authority of the committee in assisting the board with the management of financial risks, preparation of annual audits and investments (if applicable).

• The Treasurer is an authorised signatory for the organisation’s financial transactions.

• The Treasurer, as chair of the Finance and Audit committee, is empowered to directly advise the Project Rozana Chair, Board and Executive Director on all matters relating to the financial governance of the organisation, including any new or emerging risks that may arise.
