HammondCare and the Coles Group are working together to improve the quality of life for older Australians, particularly people living with dementia in aged care homes, by providing accessible shopping experiences. People living with dementia strongly report shopping as their favourite activity, providing them with dignity, autonomy, and a sense of meaning and purpose, according to international research.
As a shop volunteer, you'll assist welcoming people to our onsite small store. You may assist them in finding items, stocking shelves, and serving customers (no money handling).
We would be happy to discuss with you a suitable time to volunteer.
Volunteering with HammondCare is one way you can give something back to the aged or frail in our society. Not only does volunteering have an impact on the person you spend time with, but you'll learn a lot and meet new people.
