The Youth Advocacy Group provides an overview of actions in support of young people residing in the City of Whittlesea. The group is youth-led and leads a range of topics pertaining to youth and advocates for issues to be addressed. This opportunity gives young people autonomy and leadership to voice and work towards the changes they’d like to see in their communities. Whittlesea Community Connections is a Child Safe organisation and all volunteers will be required to undergo a Working with Children Check and a National Police Check.

Key responsibilities

Support the needs of the young people to advocate for a dedicated youth hub and other issues. Meet weekly with the YAG members to identify and respond to issues. Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders such as other youth organisations and groups.
Reporting any concerns around youth affairs in the City of Whittlesea.
