The James Street Gallery runs as an access studio for artists with disabilities. It provides studio facilities in drawing, painting, screen printing, fine art printing, ceramics, papier mache, bookwork at mail art.

The studio is staffed by qualified and practicing artists who give participants the autonomy to choose their projects and work independently, offering support skills and development where appropriate.

We are seeking a volunteer to provide expertise and support participants who present with a psychosocial disability in the Studio Art Program. The volunteer will assist and mentor participants to gain, or further, their skills in the Studio where they focus on a range of art mediums, such as painting, drawing and clay, with on-site guidance and support from genU staff.
