Logo for Living Proud LGBTIQ+ Community Services of WA

Volunteers are needed to support people with disability to access LGBTIQ+ community events like Pride Fairday and the Pride Parade.

Living Proud's Queer and Accessible project works with LGBTIQ+ events and groups to increase accessibility for people with disability, particularly at large events during PrideFEST in November.

Volunteers may assist with

  • the Accessibility Concierge at large events which assists individuals who may require accessiblity information or individual support to access food trucks, activities, etc.
  • hosting priority viewing areas for people with disability at events.
  • directing patrons to ACROD parking areas

Volunteers are not required to have disability support experience, but please do let us know if you do have experience in this area.

All volunteers must have basic knowledge of LGBTIQ+ communities and hold non-judgmental attitudes towards people of diverse sexuality, sex and gender. More training is available in this area, if required

All Living Proud events volunteers are required to attend an Information Session (2 hours), apply for a police check (paid for by Living Proud) and agree to our Events volunteer code of conduct. Some roles may also require a Working With Children Check

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
