1. Who is Women of Colour Australia (WoCA) Women of Colour Australia (WoCA) is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity established in August 2020. We are run by women of colour for women of colour. We exist to champion Australia’s women of colour through programs of education, community support initiatives, and advocacy work.

Our Vision: A world where girls and women of colour are afforded equitable opportunities to reach their full potential.

Our Purpose: To advocate, support, and strengthen the lives and experiences of Women of Colour in all places and spaces in Australia.

2. Duties The below is just an example: Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Comms Team, the Web Admin Assistant’s duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining and updating current content on the website to ensure it is relevant to users’ needs
  • Ensuring all plugins are current and up to date
  • Coordinating with other members of the team—such as graphic designers or information technology professionals—to ensure that all aspects of the website are completed on time
  • Communicating with other volunteers and other individuals who have a role in maintaining the website.

3. Attributes The ideal candidate must have:

  • Previous experience using Wordpress
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Passion for advocating for Women of Colour
