The mission of The Salvation Army Employment Plus network is to change lives and communities through the power of employment. As the first-person visitors will meet, the Reception Assistant will be key in creating a warm and welcoming impression for job seekers. Additionally, the role will provide assistance with basic administrative duties.

o Time commitment –

8.30am – 5.00pm – job share considered Minimum 6 month commitment

o Role tasks/requirements

Ensure all visitors are greeted upon arrival Advise Job Coaches when the job seeker has arrived Provide job seeker with their relevant paperwork Guide visitors to their job coach at appointed time Answer phone calls promptly and redirect as required Provide visitors information as required Refer further enquiries to relevant staff member Ensure confidentiality Make sure all people and the workplace are safe by always abiding by safe work practices Keep children safe by always abiding by Salvation Army’s child safe policies and code of conduct

o Preferred qualifications/skills/experience as required

Desired skills include knowledge of Microsoft Suite or willingness to learn basic administration tasks Good communication skills both written and verbal
