SERAG encourages new volunteers to attend a few times at least to gain an appreciation of bush restoration methods of weeding and planting, and of the foreshore ecosystem. Weekend and weekday volunteering sessions are available all year round.

SERAG offers regular opportunities to which people are welcome to come along and volunteer their time and energy. The activities of ‘Treemendous Tuesdays’, TT, involve volunteers for two hours early morning in weeding /planting / collecting rubbish, followed by a friendly morning tea/coffee (provided) on this beautiful shoreline. Worthwhile investment of time, in company of friendly folk caring for country. No better place for that morning coffee!!

‘Saturday Morning at the Cove’, SMaC, is another SERAGgroup who engage in similar hands-on planting /weeding, depending on the most suitable activity for the season, for two hours on one Saturday each month. What’s not to love? Working, then sharing a well-earned coffee and cake in good company with one of the best views in the city. And we can attest the benefits as the river becomes healthier and the community enjoys the revitalized riverside. People are welcome to come and try it out for a couple of times.

SERAG can organise a separate volunteering session for a corporate or service group of up to 20 people on occasions.
