Volunteer Bus Driver Wanted!

The MercyCare Respite Centre in Wembley is seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic volunteer bus driver to join our team. As a volunteer, you will drive the Sawle Social Connections group every Monday or Thursday, on a weekly basis, from 9:00am to 4:30pm and drive Mercy Village residents to Floreat Forum shopping centre and return once a month.

Your responsibilities will include accompanying one of our support workers to pick up a group of 5 or 6 gentlemen or ladies and driving them to places of their interest, such as lunch spots or other destinations. You'll also be responsible for ensuring their safe return to the Respite Centre.

As a volunteer bus driver, you will be a good communicator, able to establish rapport quickly and enjoy interacting with older people, including those with dementia. Your kind presence and company will help our clients feel more connected and engaged in the community.
