• Working with individuals to secure and maintain employment for vulnerable Youth
• Conducting group activities with participants to prepare them for work with assistance from Volunteer Employment Coaches Support Volunteer Employment Coaches
• Assisting volunteers on a day-to-day basis with the running of the employment program
• Coach and mentor new Volunteer Employment Coaches as required Employer and Stakeholder Engagement
• Conducting post placement support to both participants and employers
• Promoting program to employers and the community
• Conducting direct marketing activities to source job placements Database Management
• Recording all actions undertaken and maintaining recording system
• Preparing reports as requested to monitor performance
Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment
• Ensure correct manual handling procedures are followed
• Ensure infection control measures are applied
• Immediately report any health and safety concerns, notifiable incidents and near misses, to Team Leader and ensure any hazards are controlled until rectified
• Ensure hazard, incident and accident form is completed when required Adhere to Child Safe practices
• Understand and adhere to child safe practices as per TSA’s code of conduct
• Ensure visitors are guided on child safe practice if required
Required for the position
• Complete The Salvation Army (TSA) Mission Volunteer registration, induction and training - TSA is a ChildSafe workplace.
• Police Check
• Current Blue Card
• Experience in recruitment, youth services or social services preferred but not essential
Have a general understanding and/or appreciation of recruitment trends and assisting people to find work
• Experience in customer service and/or administration is preferred, with strong attention to detail
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Officer and using HR Systems (or other similar systems)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• High level of understanding of confidentiality and privacy requirements
• Able to build rapport and trust quickly with Youth
• Represents the organisation in an honest, ethical and professional way
• Shows personal motivation and commitment to completing work activities effectively
• Recognises and respects the rights and beliefs of others in a non-judgemental way
• Willingness to learn

Desirable For The Position
• Qualifications in or currently studying Business Management
• HR or equivalent is highly desired but not essential
• Experience in Youth Work or Recruitment highly desired
