Summary This position will provide a gentleman within our residential aged care facility with an opportunity to get out for a coffee, to do a bit of shopping and/or visit the local men's shed. Important things that he would not be able to do otherwise.

Description Volunteers will work closely with the OTA when planning outings. Volunteers are required to have a full drivers license, a registered and roadworthy vehicle and fully comprehensive car insurance. Volunteers are required to have a current season flu vaccination and be fully vaccinated against COVID 19.

Our volunteers often do not realise how much they get back from their experience. While it often is through getting a positive feeling that comes from making a difference, there are many other benefits including: - Making new friends - Developing new skills - Contributing to the local community - Learning from our elders - Having fun

Key Tasks:

  1. To visit the shops once a week for coffee and a few shopping items.
  2. To visit the Men’s Shed (volunteer must be male as this is a male only activity) This can be the same volunteer or different.
