The Day Centre program is facilitated by a team leader who designs an engaging and stimulating program of activities. The activities vary and may include for example art and crafts, games, quizzes, yoga, incursions and outings.

Specific duties of the volunteer role include:

• Assist with setting up the facility in preparation for weekly activities • Preparation and distribution of morning tea • Provide support to clients to participate in the program of activities • Liaise with and support other team members as appropriate • Assist with packing away equipment on completion of the program.

The role would suit someone who has experience working with people with a disability, particularly the ability to relate to and work with adults with cognitive and physical impairment.
