Oxfam Trailwalker Sydney is looking for Allied Health volunteers!
Oxfam AustraliaOxfam Trailwalker is a community event where participants walk 100km through the Australia bush to raise vital funds to tackle global poverty. The trail runs from Parsley Bay in Brooklyn to the picturesque Tania Park in Balgowlah Heights. We need over 100 Allied Health volunteers at 3 of our checkpoints to treat and assist our walkers on their 100km journey.
When: Oxfam Trailwalker Sydney is on 25 – 27 August 2023
Where: Allied Health Hubs are located at Bobbin Head, St Ives, and Davidson Park
Who: Allied Health Volunteers - Podiatrists, Physiotherapists and Massage Therapists - Qualified Health Professionals & Students at least halfway through their course.
Role Information: We require the assistance of Allied Health volunteers, like you, to provide relief to our brave walkers. We have volunteer positions available for students (2nd year & above) and registered practitioners where you will use your skills to assess and treat Oxfam Trailwalker participants.
Our Allied Health volunteers can specialise in Physiotherapy, Myotherapy, Podiatry, Massage, or Osteopathy. You will meet weary walkers and assist them by putting a smile on their face by tending to their acute injuries.
