Support at risk students in the classroom to achieve their goals

EdConnect Australia

The learning support volunteer assists students and teachers in the classroom or in other areas of the school. The most commong roles are listening to students read and working with small groups of students to assist with literacy or numeracy work. Other roles include assisting in the school library or gardens.

No previous volunteer experience necessary, however, we are seeking people who are compassionate, patient and be willing to genuinely help students. Volunteers must be able to commit an 1 hour per week for a 6-12 month period during school terms, therefore these roles are not suitable for people who are looking for a short term fill-in volunteer role.

Many of our current volunteers find this program personally rewarding as they help students thrive. The impact volunteers can make on a young person’s life goes well beyond their school years. This is an opportunity to not only help, shape, and support young people and schools, it may even enrich a volunteers life as well.

We’ve recruited and trained thousands of volunteers who have helped many more thousands of young people throughout Australia.

If you are looking to make a difference in a young person’s life, apply now.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
