Volunteer to change lives. Yours included. This volunteer opportunity will help to assist the team with administrative/receptionist duties at Blue Care's Springwood Community Centre.

This is a busy office which receives a high volume of visitors and phone enquiries daily. Volunteers will support the administrative team by greeting visitors, answering phones and taking messages to pass on to the relevant team members. This role will be best suited to people with good verbal and written skills and an excellent phone manner. Also suited to people wanting experience working in an office environment.

This large office is a central point for Blue Care staff. Its vibrant and constantly buzzing, alive with the sound of a diverse & busy team. The reception area is the first point of welcome to visitors and enquiries for the centre.

Tasks involved include: ▪ Greeting visitors ▪ Connecting them to the appropriate team member ▪ Answering phone calls and taking messages ▪ Administrative tasks - emailing, data entry, typing, photocopying and laminating etc ▪ Maintaining stationary cupboards ▪ Distribution of mail including parcel deliveries

Skills Required: ▪ Previous experience in administration or reception would be an advantage but is not essential ▪ Good written and verbal skills ▪ Confident phone manner
