Based at Cockatoo Island and North Head Sanctuary Visitor Centre, Visitor Services Volunteers meet and greet visitors to help them maximise their visit by assisting with historical information, providing directions, as well as selling merchandise and tour tickets. The role particularly suits a 'people person' with an interest in the historic aspects of the sites and helping people enjoy their visit. Volunteers usually commit to one day per fortnight.
Benefits: Harbour Trust Visitor Services volunteers interact with the public including local and international visitors. Volunteers are trained in their role and become part of the 200 strong volunteer team. Volunteers are provided with a uniform and enjoy regular information sessions and social occasions. Other benefits include annual flu vaccination, WHS support and inclusion in Harbour Trust events.
