UniSport Australia is seeking Photographer volunteers to be part of the 2022 Nationals Surfing championship event. This year, Nationals Surfing will be held on the beautiful Sunshine Coast and is expected to see over 100 competitors from across universities in Australia attend the event.

We are lookin for photographers to assist in sourcing images for feature stories and capturing photos of competitors, teams, volunteers, and medal presentations.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will involve:

Identify and capture images of any allocated sport at Nationals, special events and ceremonies which will be used by UniSport media and marketing channels with full usage rights. • Work with journalists to supply shots or DSLR video to accompany their stories • Meet strict edited image deadlines during event time • Assist in the download, labeling, sorting/tagging, editing and supply of digital imagery daily during the event • The distribution of your edited photos via Dropbox for dissemination by UniSport

Is this role for you? The Photographer’s role would suit a person who has their own photography equipment.

We are looking for someone **who:** ✓ Has their own DSLR camera with telephoto lens ✓ Experience in dealing with a wide variety of people ✓ Good computer skills and your own laptop ✓ Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines ✓ DSLR sports photography experience ✓ Ability to work as part of a team ✓ Well-developed customer service and problem-solving skills ✓ Ability to take the initiative

Key information: • This is an event time role requiring availability for Nationals Surfing, 13-14 July Photographers can expect to be there from 8am-4pm (confirmed closer to the event). • No accommodation or travel expenses will be covered. • The volunteer is responsible for the insurance and safety of their photographic gear. • Image copyright remains with the volunteer for their portfolio post event. UniSport will have full usage rights. • A full induction to UniSport, training, uniform and meals (when on shift) will be provided
