Comfort Quilts Against Cancer IncComfort Quilts Against Cancer is a non-profit totally volunteer run organisation whose members embroider and patchwork colourful quilts for cancer patients throughout Australian. By joining our team, you will contribute to making a real difference both physically and emotional to the people who receive the quilts. "I cannot stress how much such a kind and thoughtful idea … can assist in the healing process of such a horrific disease" she wrote. "Throughout my chemo sessions I used my quilt... it brought warmth and comfort to me knowing I wasn't alone."
Your responsibilities will include:
• Check for nominations (Email, Google Forms, Facebook, Messenger) and our PO Boxes • Check Archived and Current sheets for previous nominations to ensure they have not already been nominated. • Email each states nominations to each manager • If an Area Manager has no stock, allocate to another that has • Add nominations to spreadsheet • Check ‘Sendle’ (delivery provider) for deliveries/make sure all are on track. • Check with State managers if see any issues • Update spreadsheet with info from state managers - quilt no and delivery info Weekly • Email state managers for quilt stock, do they need bags or paperwork • Update quilt stock on spreadsheet • Advise Admin Assistant via email with stock levels Distribution • Print label or write on AUSPOST bag • Check that quilt has brochure, women - beanie & scarf, men & children - beanie • Package up quilt
Skills required:
• Good communication skills – written and verbal • Good record keeping skills • Good computer skills • Good time management skills • Good work ethics, a flexible and non-judgmental approach to people • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and also take initiatives when the need arises • Driving skills required for distribution of CQAC products • Knowledge of Google docs (training provided)
