Comfort Quilts Against Cancer is a non-profit totally volunteer run organisation whose members embroider and patchwork colourful quilts for cancer patients throughout Australia. By joining our team, you will contribute to making a real difference both physically and emotional to the people who receive the quilts. "I cannot stress how much such a kind and thoughtful idea … can assist in the healing process of such a horrific disease" she wrote. "Throughout my chemo sessions I used my quilt... it brought warmth and comfort to me knowing I wasn't alone."

Your responsibilities will include:

• Organise date, venue and publicise the Annual General Meeting. • Minute taking and distribution of said minutes and agendas as required. • Maintain the official documentation of the organisation - e.g., update and ensure correct use of letterhead etc. • Ensure that the organisation is meeting its legal requirements, e.g., applying for Charity Status in a timely manner • Ensure the organisation is meeting its tenancy agreement • Hold a hard copy register of all legal documents • Participate in planning meetings • Undertake correspondence as required. • Responsible for ensuring volunteer details are up to date and recorded appropriately

Skills required: • Proven organisational skills • Experience in record management • Excellent writing skills • Ability to use various databases • Good work ethics, a flexible and non-judgmental approach to people
