This is a great volunteering role for busy people who want to make a difference to somebody's life. Multiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS).
Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll or have a cuppa, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of an older person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship. During visiting restrictions, volunteers are encouraged to maintain connection by mail, email or phone call. This program is rewarding for both the person receiving visits and the Community Visitor.
