Events Coordinator

The national gathering will be managed by the committee in cooperation with the coordinator and will be conducted over a weekend. The weekend will consist of a one day conference and one day of community garden visits that will include a long lunch with a maximum attendance of 110 people over the two days. As the rest of our volunteers will be flying in from various parts of the country for the event we need someone on the ground to be our eyes and ears and to sort last minute preparations before the event as well as provide the local knowledge that we do not have.

The coordinator will also be required to seek funding and sponsorship for the event and to manage other stakeholders as well.

Previous experience in events management is a must and personal involvement in community gardening activities will be highly regarded.
