The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Avalon Centre Inc.

As the bus co ordinator your role would involve doing regular safety checks on our vehicles and occasional assessment of new drivers.

Duties include:

• Arrangement of yearly services/inspections
• Alerts to repairs and maintenance

In short you will be totally responsible for the smooth running of our two buses, 'The Moving Wardrobe' and the 'Moving Heart of Gold'.

Skills and Experience:

• Ideally experience with mechanical and/or knowledge of vehicles

The Avalon Centre buses are used to distribute clothing and bedding to the homeless, and disadvantaged members of the community. They are also used for day trips for people with disabilities and mental health problems. The Centre is run entirely by volunteers and is a registered Not-for-profit Charity .
