Creative Space Southern Highlands is a community centre for adults based in Bowral where people can connect, learn, and participate in a range of activities and workshops. We are very proud of our facility at which community members can book in for diverse Workshops including but not limited to: painting; drawing; waste-to-art, papercraft; sculpture; ceramics and textiles. We also program Open Studio time to allow for self-directed or more varied experiences from week to week. We are looking for new Volunteer Art Facilitators to join our friendly team and broaden our program to enable stimulating opportunities for creative development and connection through Visual Arts experiences. You will be facilitating sessions in your area of specialty, encouraging participants to develop their skills and potentially explore pathways to professional opportunities such as sales and exhibitions as well as further education. Sessions are generally 2.5 hours long with 2 sessions per day on set days. You will maintain a lively, cooperative and inspiring atmosphere at Creative Space. Part of the role is ensuring efficient and effective use of existing art room resources and supporting the recycling of materials as appropriate. To undertake this role, you will have a passion for equal access to the Arts and relevant experience in facilitating visual arts sessions. This role requires a patient and compassionate person with a warm, friendly personality. Creative Space is situated 5 minutes from Bowral Station. We are an Inclusive Accessible facility with parking at the door.
