A Social Walk for Blind Man in Craigieburn

Blind Sports Victoria Inc.

Blind Sports & Recreation Victoria is currently seeking a male volunteer to accompany a young blind man on weekly walks in his local area of Craigieburn. You will need to be friendly and willing to have a good chat.

You need to be up-to-date with your Covid-19 vaccinations to apply and enjoy both walking and talking.

You will be part of the Walking with Willpower program, which aims to increase fitness, well-being and community involvement for adults who are blind or vision impaired.

As a friendly, volunteer walking buddy you need to be more than 18 years of age, with a positive attitude towards people with disabilities.

Recruitment involves an interview, police and referee checks and completion of short training on how to best assist a person who has vision loss whilst out walking.
