Volunteer Coordinator
Sea Turtle Foundation LtdPrefer based in Townsville, Qld but willing to consider virtual support from an experienced Volunteer Coordinator.
We are starting to gear back up but need a bit of help from a Volunteer Co-ordinator to ensure our small number of volunteers are looked after and managed well.
The goal is to ensure that our organisation is staffed with the best and most reliable individuals, and that they are correctly utilised for the fulfilment of our mission, Turtles for Tomorrow.
We have a mix of volunteers, some are undertaking admin, finance or business roles, some virtually, others will be part of the Turtle strandings team based in Townsville, Qld. Whilst strandings tend to occur September through to March each year, strandings team will need to be kept engaged and updated on training prior to the season.
Volunteer Qualities • You must possess excellent organizational skills • Ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds. • Can do attitude. • Caring and empathetic.
Tasks • Sourcing and recruiting volunteers through various techniques • Collecting information on availabilities and skills • Arranging for appropriate training when needed
Experience • Proven experience in management of operations or similar position. • Able to communicate effectively with diverse • Excellent organisational and team coordination abilities • A pleasant, outgoing personality
Experience in business administration, human resources, social studies or relevant field will be appreciated.
