Reservoir Volunteer
SA Water
As a volunteer at our reservoir reserves, you’ll participate in activities under the supervision of SA Water Reservoir Rangers. You will have the opportunity to get involved in a range of activities supporting conservation and recreation within South Australia’s reservoir reserves that are open to the public.
Your support as part of our volunteering community will help protect and preserve these special places, ensuring a thriving natural environment and the continued supply of safe, clean drinking water. Through the diversity of volunteering activities, you will gain valuable knowledge and skills in conservation, land and recreation management.
Types of activities include: Habitat improvement and restoration, pest plant control programs, citizen science and biodiversity monitoring programs (e.g. bird, frog, mammal, plant surveys), assisting with community events and assisting with fish stocking activities.
Volunteering is available at Barossa, Happy Valley, Hope Valley, Mount Bold, Myponga, South Para and Warren Reservoir Reserves. Activities are scheduled on weekdays and weekends, opt-in when it suits you.
