We’re looking for Volunteers who are creative thinkers and committed to supporting people live their best lives. Volunteers who can support older people with their goals around staying independent, healthy and connected to their community.

You may be interested in a connection with Jane, who describes herself as strong, hardworking and independent. Jane enjoys going out for lunch at café’s and restaurants. Jane also enjoys going out for scenic drives to Buninyong, Lake Wendouree and around Ballarat. Jane is interested in craft (cross stitch) world news, current affairs and likes to talk to about her life experiences.

Connecting with *Jane may involve visiting her at home, having a chat over the phone, meeting up for a coffee and/or sharing a skill. It might involve checking out what’s on offer at a local neighbourhood centre, library, a live music event or an activity of interest.

We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. As a Uniting Volunteer you’ll be able to access our online learning library with over 200 courses on offer. Good communications skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a driver’s licence/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential. We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities.
