Multiple Sclerosis is funded to provide a volunteer visiting program – the Community Visitors Scheme (CVS). Volunteer visitors share stories, go for a stroll, enjoy a cuppa and chat, listen to music or play a board game. Our volunteers play a vital role in the life of a person living in an aged care home or their own home through ongoing friendship.

Would you like to visit an older person in their own home and make a real difference in their life? Have you got some time and conversation to share to reduce loneliness?

We are seeking a Community Visitor for a delightful lady in Dandenong North who would really value some 1:1 time and to make a new friend. She enjoys science and technology, knitting, crocheting and embroidery, scrabble and word puzzles. She would appreciate in home chats and coffee outings too. If you are looking for a volunteer role that makes a positive difference to another person, brings mutual joy and is flexible - this is a role for you.

You need to be warm, caring, reliable and be willing to commit to weekly connections/visits or at least fortnightly connections/visits for a minimum of 12 months/ongoing.

Virtual visits (phone calls, letters, emails ) are vital and help continue connections during periods of visiting restrictions.
