Job Description Transport Service

Assist with providing quality transport service Assist to load and unload goods to and from the vehicle Operate in a manner that promotes effective teamwork, good relationships with customers, donors and fellow team members Be prompt, courteous and respectful when interacting with others Assist with keeping customers and donors informed and updated of agreed delivery/collection times Safely transport items on time Strict adherence to WHS policies in relation to the lifting and moving of furniture and goods Actively promote TSA in a positive manner at all times Provide Quality Customer Service

Exhibiting professional image of the office environment, displaying professionalism and integrity at all times. Accurate information provided to customers. Refer people to appropriate Salvation Army services. Follow up with Manager if unsure. Listen carefully, and acknowledge and refer concerns, issues or queries to Manager. Maintain a Safe and Healthy Environment

Monitor and rectify any health and safety concerns within the centre. Escalate issues that cannot be attended to the Manager. Assist with checking windscreen washer reservoir, fuel, oil and water levels and tyre pressure, and record all details in the vehicle’s logbook At the end of each trip, assist with cleaning and re-fueling vehicle, return vehicle to the site, complete logbook details and report any difficulties or vehicle repair/maintenance issues to Manager At all times ensure the vehicle mobile telephone is switched on, is contactable at all times and is safely secured within the vehicle In the event of any incident occurring or a near miss, inform Driver and complete an Incident Report Form Immediately report any health and safety concerns, notifiable incidents and near misses, to Senior Team Leader and ensure any hazards are controlled until rectified. Ensure hazard, incident and accident form is completed when required in a timely manner. Qualifications and Experience Requirements for the Position Good communication skills. Mandatory Requirements of the Position Complete required a police check at our expense
Complete Mission Volunteer induction, training and registration. A reasonable level of fitness to meet the inherent requirements of the role. Closed footwear must be worn at all times. Time and Roster Commitment 5 hrs a Day 8.30 to 2 pm Monday Wednesday Friday. Cultural Competency
