About Us

We distribute new and pre-loved essential baby items to WA families in need. We provide a box of “little things” to assist families to care for their newborn with items such as clothing, blankets, nappies, wipes, toys and books. Our volunteers collect and package donations into New Baby Boxes which are distributed via existing support services and government agencies.

About the Role

We’re seeking a passionate Perth based volunteer to fill the position of Volunteer Coordinator.

The key responsibilities include:

• Managing the volunteer database and roster (on-going and during special events). • Arranging training as required. • Reviewing, evaluating and managing a volunteer induction process. • Reviewing and managing policies, procedures and standards for volunteers. • Developing and promoting innovative ways to recognise and reward volunteer efforts. • Communication with and engagement of volunteers through targeted and effective correspondence. • Inform volunteers of opportunities, and details of events with adequate lead-time to plan and attend. • Respond to comments and queries about volunteering opportunities. • Process all volunteer session information.

About you • You're passionate about helping Western Australian families in need. • Experience in team management and leadership in a workplace environment will be useful but is not mandatory. • Experience managing volunteers will be useful but is not mandatory. • Experience volunteering in other roles will also be useful to understand how to engage and support volunteers. • You absolutely love leading and nurturing teams and creating a sense of team bonding. • You are available for approx eight hours per month to plan, book, manage and attend Volunteer Sessions. • You are supremely organised and a great communicator - in person, on the phone, in video meetings, and via email. • You're based in Perth.
