Burnie Brae Centre is a not-for-profit incorporated organisation that seeks to build strong community connections by providing quality health, lifestyle and care services and programs to senior members of our community.

We are looking for volunteer drivers to:

• Provide door through door service for clients ensuring they reach their destination safely. • Provide assistance to clients entering and exiting the vehicle when required/requested. • Carry shopping bags, walking aids, wheelchairs or other items, when requested. • Accurately record monies handled throughout the day in line with internal procedures. • Facilitate conversations & build relationships in line with consumer directed care principles. • Collaborate effectively with Care Services and Respite teams for effective service delivery. • Ensure the cleanliness of transport vehicles regularly throughout the day. • Raise any observed concerns with the client, carer, or Team Leader as soon as possible. • Provide mobility assistance to clients to ensure their safety. • Provide client feedback, suggestions, and complaints to the Team Leader. • Proactively provide information to clients on Burnie Brae services where appropriate. • Build and maintain relationships with clients through regular conversation and interaction. • Complete daily vehicle checks and submit documentation to the Service Support Officer. • Advise the Service Support Officer of vehicle maintenance requirements.
• Maintain awareness of, and adhere to, Queensland Road Rules and Transport Operations Act 1995. • Report road accidents or near misses to the Team Leader as soon as practicable. • Complete and submit WHS incident and hazard reports in line with internal policies.
