Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love.

Jane describes herself herself as outgoing, easy going, friendly, open minded and chatty. Jane enjoys getting out into the garden, playing bingo, cards, watching Netflix, walking her dog and listening to music. Uniting are seeking an outgoing, social, chatty, non-judgemental volunteer with a good sense of humour to support Jane* to reconnect with her community. An affinity for dogs is a must.

Visits may include accompanying Jane to see a movie, have some lunch, play cards or do some personal shopping. You will hold a valid Australian driver’s license and have access to a car that you will be prepared to transport Jane* in during visits. The confidence to work independently is a must.

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community. Interested?
