Uniting Social Support Program keeps people connected to the community to support them to live a happy and healthy life. The program assists people to keep doing the things they love.

Dorothea came to Australia from Greece 50 years ago. In the past she worked in the sewing industry. Dorothea enjoys talking to her family and gardening, especially looking after her orchids. Dorothea is looking for a volunteer that would like to go out for coffee, chat and perhaps a stroll around the shops.

Dorothea is available every weekday in the early afternoon. You will hold a valid Australian driver’s license and have access to a car that you will be prepared to transport Dorothea in during visits. Practical communication skills and confidence to work independently are a must.

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community. Interested?
