As a volunteer, you'll be engaging with elderly residents who are living with dementia, serving wine and cheese tastings and creating a great atmosphere. Ideally, you'll be available 2 hours per fortnight or month for 6 months or longer. We'd be happy to chat with you about a suitable afternoon during the week.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the residents you are matched with.

The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme is funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.
