Administration Support - Midland

Cancer Council WA's Midland Hub is seeking a volunteer to provide administration support to the Cancer Support Coordinator. This may include a range of simple and more complex office related activities. The volunteer will also assist visitors to the centre with way finding, providing information about Cancer Council supportive care programs and services and using Cancer Council WA’s information hub to help visitors access a range of publications. The volunteer will also assist with scheduling and coordinating appointments for the Complementary Therapy programs conducted at the Centre.

Assistance is required on Tuesday to Thursday between the hours of 10:00am - 2:00pm, for a minimum of 4 hours per week, hours are negotiable.

Requirements: • Reception duties • Coordinate appointments and meetings • A range of administrative tasks eg document control, formatting documents, photocopying & archiving records • Provide directions to visitors where required • Provide information about Cancer Council supportive care programs and services • Hand out any relevant materials from the dedicated Cancer Council publications display space • Encourage patients/carers/families to make an appointment with the Cancer Support Coordinator or contact Cancer Council to access the full range of Cancer Council supportive care services • Take a responsible approach to professional and personal boundaries • Be alert to signs of distress and seek support from Cancer Support Coordinator or Regional Education Officer • Where necessary attend any role-related training • Participate in an annual reflection and any relevant team meetings
