The Lead Pharmacist is expected to provide expert pharmaceutical advice to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and safety for our patients and members while practicing and developing cost efficient service delivery. Being a volunteer role, the expectation to assist the community needs to be at the forefront of the Lead Pharmacist mind. On-call assistance, in line with organisational escalation procedures, may be required.

• The Lead Pharmacist would be expected to comply with the Drugs and Poisons Act, Therapeutic Goods Administrations (TGA) standards and guidelines. • Assist in periodical drug audits, assist in maintaining records of controlled substances. • Provide expert advice on the storage and management of drugs in the pre-hospital and event health services space. • The Lead Pharmacist must maintain registration as an unconditional Pharmacist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) • The Lead Pharmacist would be expected to provide advice on matters of drug administration with the protection of patients kept in mind.
