The AFCM makes every effort to assign roles so that the needs of the festival and the capabilities of volunteers are matched.

This year there are a number of volunteering roles available; following is an outline of the duties required to fill various "front of house" positions. Please note the duties are outlined but not limited to those specified below. Further details will be refined by the Volunteer Coordinator.

Promotions/Marketing/Survey staff, Festival Booth Attendant, Events Assistant, Ushers/People Greeter/Program Sellers, Bus marshalls

Functions of these roles include greeting and assisting patrons with general enquiries, ushering patrons to their seats, ticket handling, coordinating seating plans and seat numbering, selling AFCM programs and merchandise, travelling on a bus with patrons and assisting them when necessary.

Please note ushers will need to be available to complete training at the Townsville Civic Theatre on the 16th of May, 2022.

Our front of house vollies should be friendly, helpful and eager to assist our patrons. A good knowledge of the Townsville region is highly desirable.

This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people and gain experience in the front of house operations of an event or festival.

You can not apply for this role as it is no longer available.
