Are you passionate about supporting people to remain healthy, active and connected to their community? Uniting Social Support Program is seeking Volunteers who are interested in facilitating activities at SouthPort Centre based group, South Melbourne. SouthPort offers participants the opportunity to engage in a range of social activities including art, craft and light exercise to name a few.

This role requires an outgoing, enthusiastic volunteer with effective communication skills and an ability to create positive interactions with the participants of the group. The successful applicant will demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to actively and safely engage participants in the activity. Apply and develop your group facilitation skills whilst making a valuable contribution to your community!

Facilitate activities including: • Bus driving • IT knowledge • Exercise and movement • Cooking/meal planning and preparation • Dance steps to music • Tai Chi

As a valued member of the Social Support Team, you will have access to ongoing training and development, opportunities to meet new people and develop new skills. You will have support from a dedicated volunteer coordinator who will assist you throughout your volunteer journey. You will be volunteering to inspire people, enliven communities and confront injustice to make an impact in your community. Interested?
