Volunteer arts engagement, dementia aged care home, Wahroonga
HammondCare Australia
Share your love of the visual arts by teaching or supporting an arts activity group with residents at our aged care home in Wahroonga. Show off your creative and artistic skills in the areas of drawing, painting, colouring or craft, as you lead people to create their own pieces.
Ideally you'll be available for 1-2 hours each week for 6-12 months or longer, on Wednesdays 10:00am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 3:00pm. We'll provide the materials, all you need to bring is your ideas and enthusiasm to share with a group of people living with dementia.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare.
